According to her LinkedIn post, the driver not only dropped her midway but also began advising her on life choices.

Mumbai: Auto-rickshaws are a common mode of transportation relied upon by many in Indian cities. Known for being an affordable option for short distances, these tuk-tuks are widely used. An auto driver who knows the city like the back of their hand can easily weave through or evade traffic to help you reach your destination on time.
However, passengers often encounter unpleasant experience due to the poor behaviour of some drivers. One such experience was recently shared by a young woman on LinkedIn.

According to her post, the driver not only dropped her midway but also began advising her on life choices. “The other day, an auto driver dropped me about a kilometre before my office, claiming he couldn't go that far. He then asked me why I worked so far from home,” she wrote. She added that the driver even began calculating what he thought her salary must be and grumbled that he shouldn’t have taken the ride in the first place.
“Sometimes, your journey might inconvenience others. They might leave you halfway. That’s alright. Just give them a one-star rating and move on,” she concluded in her post.
The story struck a chord with many readers, with several responding in support of the woman. Some pointed out how people seem to have a knack for calculating others’ salaries and offering unsolicited advice, even to those they barely know.
One user named the incident, “Mad Auto Fury Road”. Another pointed out the 18 kilometres of the auto driver’s dedication to reach the destination in addition to 1 kilometre of life advice, saying that “Auto rides in India do offer full-stack experiences.”
