Eligibility criteria varies by post
Eligibility requirements differ depending on the position. Legal Officer applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in law with at least 50% marks and a minimum of two years’ experience as an advocate, law officer, or law teacher, with an age limit of 21–32 years.
For Manager Technical positions, candidates must possess Civil or Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering degrees with at least 60% marks and three years of relevant experience, with an age bracket of 21–35 years.
Assistant Manager (Rajbhasha) candidates should have a master’s degree in Hindi or Hindi Translation with English or an equivalent translation qualification, and fall within the 21–30 years age group.
Meanwhile, Assistant Manager (Protocol & Security) applicants must have at least 10 years of commissioned service in the Armed Forces, with an age limit of 25–40 years.
Application process and selection stages
Candidates can apply only through the official RBI website by registering with basic details, filling the online form, uploading the required documents, paying the application fee, and downloading the confirmation page.
The selection process includes an objective and descriptive written examination followed by a personal interview. The exam structure may vary slightly depending on the stream, particularly for Legal, Technical, and Rajbhasha posts.
Attractive pay and benefits
Grade ‘B’ officers will receive a starting basic pay of ₹78,450 per month, with initial gross monthly emoluments of around ₹1.53 lakh excluding HRA. Grade ‘A’ officers will start at ₹62,500 basic pay, with gross monthly earnings of approximately ₹1.26 lakh.
In addition to salary, selected candidates will be eligible for dearness allowance, grade and special allowances, medical benefits, concessional housing and vehicle loans, leave fare concessions, and other reimbursements, making these roles among the most sought-after government jobs in India.
