YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has had a difficult few months after finding himself in the middle of the India's Got Latent controversy. The 31-year-old admitted that the situation hit him hard — emotionally, financially, and professionally. He also said it disappointed his parents and affected his entire team.

Earlier this year, an FIR was filed against Ranveer, comedian Samay Raina, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani, influencer Apoorva Mukhija, and Jaspreet Singh. A now-deleted episode from the show went viral, showing Ranveer asking an inappropriate question involving parents. The video triggered outrage and led to multiple FIRs and investigations in Maharashtra and Assam. The National Human Rights Commission also raised concerns about its impact on minors.

"Lost: Health, money, peace…”

During a recent Instagram Q&A, a follower asked Ranveer what he had lost due to the controversy.

He replied: "Lost: Health, money, opportunity, repute, mental health, peace, parents' contentment & much more. Gained: Transformation, spiritual growth, toughness. Will slowly work towards getting back everything that's lost. Let the work speak."

Ranveer revealed his biggest worry during the controversy was letting down his team and their families.

"That I let down the families of my team members because of my mistake. People don't understand how many jobs are at stake... Mobs love seeing people fall. But we will keep moving forward. I'm not 100% okay even now. Have to give it my all because MANY livelihoods depend on my work."

Impact on family

He said the hardest part was seeing how the issue affected his parents.

"This part of the chaos hurt the most. When your work, your actions have an impact on your loved ones. But both my parents are warriors. That's where I get my mentality from! Was tough, but we are getting past it."

After the backlash, Samay Raina removed all episodes of India's Got Latent and said he’d cooperate fully with the investigation. Both Samay and Ranveer recently appeared before Maharashtra Cyber for questioning over obscenity charges under the IT Act and IPC.

When asked if he stayed in touch with Samay Raina, Ranveer replied: "Samay will be back. All of us have gotten closer after the events. Stand by each other in good times as well as in bad times. My brother is (already) a media legend. God is watching over all of us." He added, "Picture abhi baaki hai..."

Lessons from a hard time

Ranveer said this tough phase taught him a lot and advised people to focus on their mental well-being.

"Start Yoga early in life... A calm mind is earned. The calmness helped a lot. Tough chapters must be met with tough routines."

He admitted he’s still dealing with the aftermath and that a lot is going on behind the scenes.

"But God is with me, I know it," he shared.

Earlier, Ranveer had also issued a public apology, saying: "Comedy is not my forte."

He also moved the Supreme Court for protection against legal action in the FIRs filed against him.
