New Delhi: Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were released on Tuesday night after being detained by Delhi Police during a protest outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence over the NEET row and alleged police action against students.
Rahul Gandhi was released from Chhatrasal Stadium, while Priyanka Gandhi was released from Mandir Marg Police Station. Large numbers of Congress workers gathered outside both locations following their release.

Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi arrived at Mandir Marg Police Station after Priyanka Gandhi's detention. She later left the police station after Priyanka was released.
The Congress protest followed police action to remove opposition leaders who refused to end their sit-in despite the Centre offering a discussion in Parliament on NEET-related issues.
After his detention, Rahul Gandhi reiterated that the agitation would continue. “Modiji, try every pressure, exert all your might — this fight for justice for students will not stop now.”
Congress also defended the protest, saying its leaders would continue demanding accountability over the handling of student protests and seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
BJP leader Nitin Nabin criticised Rahul Gandhi's protest outside the Prime Minister's residence, calling his conduct "certainly unfortunate" and describing it as "a black day in the history of Indian politics."
Meanwhile, the Centre maintained that it was prepared to discuss NEET and related issues in Parliament, but accused Rahul Gandhi of changing his demands during talks.
