New Delhi: AAP MP Raghav Chadha has spoken out after being replaced as the party’s Rajya Sabha deputy leader. In a video message shared on X, he questioned whether raising public issues in Parliament could be considered wrong.

Chadha stated that he has consistently used his parliamentary platform to highlight matters affecting citizens and asked why he was being restricted from speaking.

In his remarks, Chadha asked whether raising concerns such as air travel food pricing, gig workers’ issues, prepaid mobile plan challenges, and taxation on the middle class was inappropriate. He suggested that these topics were among those he has frequently addressed in the Rajya Sabha.

He also questioned the decision to limit his participation in parliamentary proceedings, stating that he was only bringing public issues to attention.

The Aam Aadmi Party replaced Chadha with another party MP, Ashok Mittal, as the new deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha.

The change has been described as part of internal organisational restructuring by the party, according to earlier statements. The party has not publicly detailed specific reasons for the replacement.
