Kokrajhar: A powerful explosion late Wednesday night damaged a section of the railway track between Kokrajhar and Salakati stations in Assam’s Kokrajhar district, briefly disrupting train movement in the area.
According to officials, the blast occurred around midnight, triggering panic among passengers on nearby routes. Following the incident, railway traffic was immediately halted, and security personnel were deployed to the site to assess the situation.
Railway authorities confirmed that the damaged section was promptly repaired, and train services resumed by morning after swift restoration work.
Local police and railway security agencies have launched an investigation into the incident.
