New Delhi: According to defence sources, eight missiles launched by Pakistan late Thursday targeted key locations in Jammu, including Satwari near Jammu Airport, RS Pura, Arnia, and Samba.

All incoming projectiles were successfully intercepted by Indian air defence systems, preventing any damage or casualties.

Sources in the Indian defence establishment claimed the Pakistani Army was resorting to the use of “cheap rockets,” drawing a sharp comparison with the Hamas terror group, which is known for indiscriminate rocket attacks.

The attempted strike comes amid heightened tensions following India’s retaliatory military actions under Operation Sindoor, carried out in response to the April 22 Pahalgam massacre. Cross-border shelling and drone intrusions have escalated significantly over the past 48 hours.

Indian forces remain on high alert as state governments enforce emergency protocols, including blackouts and school closures, across several border districts.
