In a continued crackdown following the deadly Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists, security forces demolished the house of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Jameel Ahmed in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district. Jameel, an active LeT member since 2016, became the latest target in the ongoing operation, marking the ninth such incident since Friday.
Footage from the scene shows locals sifting through the rubble, trying to salvage belongings from the heavily damaged structure, its roof and windows completely destroyed.
Earlier on Saturday, the residence of Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Farooq Ahmed Tadwa was demolished in a controlled explosion at Nagri Kot in the Kalaroos area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials confirmed.
The demolition forms part of the Centre and Jammu and Kashmir administration’s intensified zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism following the deadly attack in Pahalgam. Security forces have now razed six homes linked to active terrorists across Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag, Kulgam, and Kupwara districts.
