Gurugram: A man accused of opening fire outside the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav has been arrested by the Faridabad Crime Branch following an encounter. The incident took place in Gurugram's Sector 57 on the morning of August 17.

The arrested accused, identified as Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, was injured during the police operation and was shot in the leg. He was later taken to the hospital for treatment. According to officials, Ishu Gandhi fired over half a dozen rounds at the police using an automatic pistol during the encounter.

According to Sandeep Kumar, PRO of Gurugram Police, the firing occurred around 5:30 am, when three masked men opened fire outside Elvish Yadav’s home. "More than a dozen rounds were fired. Fortunately, Elvish Yadav was not present at his residence during the attack," Kumar said.

Soon after news of the encounter surfaced, Elvish Yadav, who was not at his home during the time of the encounter, took to his Instagram Stories to reassure his followers. In a heartfelt message, he said, "I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your good wishes. My family and I are safe and well. Your kind thoughts and concern are truly appreciated. Thank you."
