
Bhubaneswar: The Neelachal Express was targeted by unidentified individuals who fired multiple shots at the moving train here in Odisha on Tuesday, causing panic among passengers and raising serious security concerns. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have launched an investigation into the incident.
The firing occurred at 9:25 am on Tuesday as the train was leaving Charampa railway station. Following a complaint from the train manager, the Bhadrak GRP has commenced an investigation.
The shots were directed at the guard's van, which did not have any passengers inside at the time. There were no reported injuries.
Authorities are currently working to identify the individuals responsible and their motive for the attack.
