Mumbai: To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, Nita M Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, has launched a New Health Seva Plan. This program aims to offer free health screenings and treatments to over 1,00,000 women and children from economically disadvantaged communities. The plan is aligned with the hospital’s mission to make high-quality healthcare accessible to every Indian, with a special emphasis on underprivileged sections of society.

During the launch, Nita M. Ambani reiterated the importance of making healthcare both accessible and affordable. She remarked, "For 10 years, Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital has been driven by our vision to make world-class healthcare accessible and affordable to every Indian. As we celebrate this milestone, we have launched a New Health Seva Plan, free of cost, for children and women from marginalised communities. Good health is the foundation of a prosperous nation, and healthy women and children are the bedrock of a thriving society."

Who qualifies for the plan?

The Health Seva Plan is tailored for women and children from financially weaker backgrounds. This outreach will target key health challenges faced by these groups, providing vital health services and interventions.

What services are included?

The New Health Seva Plan provides essential medical services aimed at early detection and treatment. Key offerings under the plan include:

  • Congenital heart disease screening: 50,000 children will be screened for congenital heart defects, a condition that impacts 1 in every 100 newborns in India.
  • Cancer screening for women: 50,000 women will receive free screenings for breast and cervical cancers. This is crucial, as breast cancer alone accounts for over 25% of all cancers in Indian women.
  • Cervical cancer vaccinations: 10,000 adolescent girls will receive vaccinations to protect against cervical cancer, a significant step in combating this deadly disease.

Over the past decade, Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital has positively impacted the lives of 2.75 million Indians, including more than 1.5 lakh children, by providing top-tier healthcare and access to advanced medical technology.
