Mysusru: Two people died and several others were injured after a fire broke out at a pub in Mysuru, Karnataka, on Monday. The incident triggered a swift response from fire and rescue teams, who managed to evacuate more than 15 people from the building.
According to officials, the fire erupted during the afternoon, prompting an emergency call to the Saraswathipuram Fire Station at around 3:15 pm. Firefighters rushed to the scene and worked to bring the blaze under control while rescuing those trapped inside the premises.
Divisional Fire Officer Ranganath said two people who were in the kitchen section of the pub died due to the intensity of the fire. Seven others sustained injuries and were shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. The condition of the injured has not yet been officially disclosed.
The rescue operation helped prevent further casualties, with emergency personnel successfully evacuating several people from the building. Authorities are now assessing the extent of the damage caused by the fire.
The exact cause of the blaze remains unknown. Officials have launched an investigation to determine how the fire started and whether any safety violations contributed to the incident. Further details are expected as the probe continues.
