One dead, three people were injured after an under-construction Mumbai Metro pillar collapsed on an autorickshaw in Mulund West. The accident took place on LBS Road during metro construction work, officials said.

Mumbai: One person died and three others were injured after a portion of a parapet wall from an under-construction Mumbai Metro elevated bridge collapsed onto an autorickshaw and a car on LBS Road in Mulund (West) on Saturday.
According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the incident occurred at around 12:20 pm near the Johnson & Johnson Company during ongoing metro construction work.
The deceased has been identified as Ramdhan Yadav, who was declared brought dead at Upasani Hospital. The three injured victims were shifted to hospital for treatment.
In an official statement, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said emergency teams were immediately rushed to the spot. Personnel from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police, Metro staff, ward officials, and 108 ambulance services are carrying out rescue and relief operations.
Authorities said the exact reason behind the collapse is yet to be confirmed, and further investigation is underway.
