Bhagwat also advocated for deporting illegal immigrants and ending religious conversions through inducement, while supporting "Ghar Wapsi" initiatives.

Lucknow: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has called for the unification and strengthening of Hindu society, asserting that while there is no immediate danger, "vigilance is necessary" to prevent long-term decline.
Speaking at a social harmony gathering at the Saraswati Shishu Mandir on Tuesday, Bhagwat proposed that Hindu families should consider having at least three children. He cited scientific theories suggesting that communities with average fertility rates falling below replacement levels risk eventual disappearance.
Bhagwat emphasised that newlywed couples should be educated on this demographic necessity, arguing that the primary role of marriage is to "carry forward creation" rather than personal gratification.
Infiltration and Demographic Concerns
The RSS leader took a hardline stance on illegal immigration, stating that infiltrators should be "detected, deleted and deported." He further advised that such individuals should be barred from local employment to protect the economic interests of citizens.
Bhagwat also addressed religious conversions, calling for an end to those driven by "inducement or coercion." He advocated for "Ghar Wapsi" (reconversion) initiatives, urging society to welcome and support those returning to the Hindu fold.
"There is a need to unite and empower Hindus. There is no threat to us, but vigilance is necessary," he told the assembly, which included representatives from the Sikh, Buddhist, and Jain communities, as well as organisations like ISKCON and the Art of Living Foundation.
Social Harmony and Women’s Empowerment
Bhagwat stressed that internal caste divisions must be overcome through a "philosophy of harmony." He called for the removal of discrimination at public sites, stating:
- Inclusivity: Temples, wells, and cremation grounds must be accessible to all Hindus.
- Mutual Respect: Dissenters should not be viewed as enemies, and coordination should be prioritised over conflict.
- Family Values: Children should be taught that careers are for service and sharing, not just consumption.
Regarding women, whom he referred to as "matrushakti" (maternal power), Bhagwat rejected the notion that they are weak. He called for women to receive self-defence training and described them as the essential foundation of the Indian household.
Technology and Global Influence
The RSS chief predicted that India would soon serve as a global guide, offering civilizational solutions to modern problems. However, he warned of external threats, alleging that elements in the United States and China are attempting to undermine India’s internal social cohesion.
On the subject of modern technology, Bhagwat said that while its advancement cannot be halted, it requires disciplined usage. He specifically cautioned against the potential psychological and social harms of excessive exposure to artificial intelligence (AI), mobile phones, and social media among the younger generation.
