Jayshree Ullal, CEO and President of cloud networking major Arista Networks, has emerged as the richest Indian-origin leader in the technology sector, topping the Hurun India Rich List 2025 and overtaking global tech heavyweights such as Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Microsoft chief Satya Nadella.

According to the latest Hurun India data, Ullal secured the top position among Indian-origin business leaders worldwide, cementing her status as one of the most influential figures in global technology and enterprise networking.

An Indian-origin, British-born business leader, Ullal has been at the helm of Arista Networks since 2008. Based in Santa Clara, California, she leads the software-driven networking company that designs high-performance switches and cloud solutions for large data centres, cloud service providers and enterprise environments.

She completed her schooling at the Convent of Jesus & Mary in New Delhi. Ullal holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from San Francisco State University. She later earned a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University in 1986. In 2025, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Engineering.

As per Forbes data dated December 27, 2025, Jayshree Ullal’s net worth stands at approximately $5.7 billion, reflecting a recent rise of $34 million. She is currently ranked among the world’s top 1,000 richest individuals.

With more than 17 years at Arista, Ullal has played a pivotal role in scaling the company into one of the most valuable players in cloud networking. Earlier this year, she was ranked second among the top five first-generation women wealth creators in the Candere Hurun India Women Leaders List 2025.

Ullal’s professional journey spans several decades in the technology sector. Before joining Arista Networks, she held senior roles at Cisco Systems, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Fairchild Semiconductor, gaining deep expertise in networking, semiconductors and enterprise technology.

Before joining Arista Networks, Jayshree Ullal served as Senior Vice President at Cisco Systems, where she led a $10 billion business spanning data centre technologies, switching and services. With over four decades of experience in networking and technology across Silicon Valley, Ullal has built a distinguished career at the forefront of enterprise innovation.

Her leadership has earned her widespread global recognition. In 2015, she was honoured with Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award, followed by inclusion in Barron’s “World’s Best CEOs” list in 2018. In 2019, Fortune named her among the “Top 20 Business Persons” worldwide.
