New Delhi maintains that Pakistan's words must be backed by verifiable actions to gain global credibility on the issue.

New Delhi: Pakistan must take "credible action" against cross-border terrorism before the international community believes Islamabad will fulfil its assertions, the Ministry of External Affairs stated on Tuesday.
During a bi-weekly media briefing, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal was asked about New Delhi's perspective on recent remarks by Pakistan's Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, who stated on Tuesday that the country's armed forces remained determined to defeat terrorism amidst escalating militancy within Pakistan.
"Pakistan needs to demonstrate action and firm commitment. And it must take credible action against cross-border terrorism before the world believes it would do what it says," Jaiswal said.
