Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati has appointed her nephew Akash Anand as the party’s Chief National Coordinator

Uttar Pradesh: In a major organisational move, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati has appointed her nephew Akash Anand as the party’s Chief National Coordinator.
This appointment comes as part of a strategic restructuring aimed at strengthening the party’s presence and coordination across India.
Mayawati has divided the country into three zones, each led by a National Coordinator who will report directly to Akash Anand, who now oversees the party’s national coordination efforts. The move follows Akash Anand’s recent reinstatement into key party functions after a period of removal from responsibilities.
Senior BSP leaders have expressed optimism that under Akash Anand’s leadership, the party organisation will become stronger and more cohesive. Mayawati emphasised the importance of ideological unity and warned against divisive propaganda from rival factions.
This appointment reflects BSP’s focus on revitalising its organisational structure ahead of upcoming political challenges.
