Yamunanagar, Haryana: In a shocking incident, a man attempted self-immolation outside the district court in Yamunanagar, alleging police inaction over his son’s alleged kidnapping to Laos.
Karmveer, a resident of Pratapgarh village, claimed he had sent his son, Prince, to Thailand, but he was later kidnapped and taken to Laos, where he was forced to work in an illegal business. Despite repeated complaints, Karmveer alleged that the police had failed to act against the local agents responsible for sending his son abroad.
The desperate father staged a protest outside the court, demanding justice. He said that Prince was only released after the family paid ₹50,000 to the agents in Yamunanagar.
