A brand-new Mahindra Thar plunged out of a first-floor showroom in Delhi’s Preet Vihar, smashing through glass before landing upside down on the road. Miraculously, no one was seriously injured

New Delhi: A dramatic accident unfolded in east Delhi’s Preet Vihar when a brand-new Mahindra Thar, parked on the first floor of a showroom, suddenly darted through a glass wall and plunged onto the road on Monday evening.
Police said the vehicle had just been purchased by Pradeep and his wife, 29-year-old Maani Pawar, residents of Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. At the time of the incident, the couple and a showroom salesman, Vikas, were inside the SUV as he explained its features.
“The Thar, while being delivered, drove forward uncontrollably, smashed through the glass façade of the showroom, and landed on the ground below,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Abhishek Dhania said.
The accident occurred around 5 pm. While initial reports suggested Maani was taken to Malik Hospital in Nirman Vihar for a medical check-up, police confirmed that no one was seriously injured. “No complaint has been received from any party,” Dhania added.
Videos of the shocking moment quickly went viral on social media, showing the overturned Thar lying on the ground and a gaping frame where the showroom’s glass wall once stood.
