Lok Sabha adjourned after tributes to sitting and former MPs; Opposition moves Speaker removal.

Lok Sabha proceedings on Monday were adjourned until 12 noon following tributes to a sitting member and four former MPs who recently passed away.
Paying respects to departed MPs
The House paid homage to Ricky Andrew J Syngkon, the sitting member representing Meghalaya’s Shillong constituency, who died last month. Tributes were also offered to former MPs Kumari Sushila Tririya, Devi Bux Singh, Purnmasi Ram, and K P Unnikrishnan.
Members observed a brief moment of silence as a mark of respect for the departed. Following the tributes, the proceedings were formally adjourned until noon.
Opposition resolution on Speaker’s removal
Later in the day, the House is scheduled to consider an Opposition-sponsored resolution seeking the removal of Speaker Om Birla.
