While one police constable was injured and four others were saved by bulletproof vests, both shooters succumbed to their injuries at a hospital.

Bahadurgarh (Haryana): Two gunmen associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were killed during a shootout with police on Sunday, authorities confirmed.
Superintendent of Police (STF) Vikrant Bhushan identified the deceased as Parvesh and Himanshu, stating they were responsible for the killing of a gym owner in Hansi last month.
"Last month, a man named Kapil, who was a gym operator, was murdered by two unidentified individuals in Hansi. A case was registered at the Hansi City police station in connection with this incident. The investigation revealed that the crime was committed by two key shooters identified as Parvesh and Himanshu from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang," he told ANI.
The operation was initiated following intelligence received by Manjeet, the officer in charge of the Counter-Intelligence Delhi Special Cell unit.
"Today, Manjeet, the in-charge of the Counter Intelligence Delhi Special Cell unit, received a tip-off. Upon further developing this information, it was learned that these two wanted shooters were armed with weapons and ammunition and were planning to commit a crime," Bhushan stated.
As police teams moved to apprehend the suspects, the situation escalated into an armed confrontation.
"When the teams attempted to intercept the shooters, the latter opened fire. In self-defence, the police teams returned fire," the SP explained.
During the ensuing exchange, a police constable suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, while four other officers were struck in their protective vests.
"During the exchange, a police constable sustained a gunshot wound in his leg, and four other officers were hit on their bulletproof jackets; both shooters were also injured," Bhushan said.
The two suspects were transported to a nearby medical facility but were pronounced dead upon arrival. The wounded constable has been transferred to a super-speciality hospital for further treatment.
Authorities said that an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
