Bengaluru: Karnataka is all set to receive its 11th Vande Bharat Express train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially flag off the new Bengaluru–Belagavi route on Sunday at KSR Bengaluru Railway Station.
The high-speed train will begin normal operations on Monday. It will run six days a week, with no service on Wednesdays.
- Departure from Belagavi: 5:20 am
- Arrival at Bengaluru (KSR): 1:50 pm
- Return trip from Bengaluru: 2:20 pm
- Arrival at Belagavi: 10:40 pm
Faster travel time and key stops
The train will take 8 hours and 30 minutes to cover the 610.6 km journey — about an hour less than the existing services on this route.
It will stop at the following major stations:
- Dharwad
- Hubballi
- Haveri
- Davangere
- Tumakuru
- Yeshwantpur
This is the 11th Vande Bharat Express allocated to Karnataka. The state’s growing Vande Bharat network now includes:
- 5 services from Bengaluru: to Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, and Madurai
- 2 services between Mysuru and Chennai
- 2 services from Mangaluru: to Thiruvananthapuram and Madgaon
- 1 service on the Hubballi–Pune route
