The vehicle, reportedly driven by intoxicated occupants, struck a divider and swerved into a crowd, hitting stalls and parked cars.

Jaipur: A high-end luxury car swerved into a crowd of pedestrians near Kharabas Circle in Jaipur's Patrakar Colony late Friday, leaving one man dead and 15 others injured, authorities confirmed.
The vehicle, which police identified as an Audi, reportedly struck a road divider at high speed before veering out of control. It mowed through roadside stalls and food vendors over a 30-meter stretch, damaging several parked vehicles and sparking a frantic scene before finally coming to a halt.
Police officials stated that four individuals were inside the car at the time of the crash, all of whom were allegedly in a state of intoxication. While one occupant was apprehended at the site, the other three fled the scene. The car has since been impounded.
The victims were initially transported to Jaipuria Hospital for emergency care. Eight patients were admitted for treatment, while others sought care at private facilities or were discharged.
One victim, identified as Ramesh Bairwa of Bhilwara, succumbed to his injuries during medical treatment. Four others who remain in critical condition were transferred to the specialised trauma centre at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and issued directives to state officials to ensure the survivors receive comprehensive medical attention.
Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar visited the hospital on Saturday morning to check on the status of the injured and oversee the relief efforts.
