Indore: A major fire broke out at a parking area near Teen Imli Chauraha in Indore on Monday, destroying three buses and several motorcycles in a blaze that sent thick plumes of smoke across the surrounding area. No injuries or fatalities were reported.

The incident triggered a large-scale emergency response after the fire was reported near a godown in the busy locality. The Indore Fire Brigade rushed multiple teams to the scene as the flames rapidly spread through parked vehicles.

Fire officials said firefighters worked for several hours to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from reaching nearby structures. Sub-Inspector Santosh Kumar Dubey stated that two fire tenders and four to five water tankers were deployed, with nearly one lakh litres of water used to extinguish the fire.

“We received information about a fire at a godown near Teen Imli Chauraha. On reaching the spot, we found three buses and two to three motorcycles engulfed in flames. The fire was brought under control after extensive efforts,” Dubey said.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Authorities are investigating whether it was triggered by a short circuit, extreme heat, or possible foul play. Efforts are also underway to identify the owners of the damaged vehicles.

While the full extent of the financial loss has not yet been officially confirmed, officials say the damage is expected to be significant. Police and fire investigators are continuing their inquiry into the incident.
