Amid escalating West Asia tensions, the Centre on Monday said it is in touch with Indian missions in the Gulf region to ensure safe return of stranded Indian nationals as state governments across the country stepped up efforts to assist such residents.

Asserting that it was closely monitoring the evolving airspace situation in parts of the region, the civil aviation ministry on Monday evening said IndiGo plans to operate 4 special relief flights from Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) to various Indian cities on March 3.

IndiGo has announced that four dedicated flights will operate from Jeddah tomorrow, 3 March 2026, to Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad, as part of efforts to gradually normalise operations between Saudi Arabia and India.

These flights are being arranged to accommodate passengers who were previously booked but unable to travel due to prevailing circumstances.

Passengers seeking further information or assistance are advised to contact IndiGo’s support centre at +91 124 6173838. The airline has also confirmed that its teams will proactively reach out to affected customers with guidance and updates.

Travellers are urged not to visit the airport unless they have received direct notification. Customers should ensure that their booking and contact details are up to date to receive timely updates.

IndiGo thanked its passengers for their patience and understanding, emphasising that the safety and wellbeing of customers and crew remain its highest priority. Operations will continue to be closely monitored to enable a safe and progressive restoration of services.
