At just 21, Krishangi Meshram has made history as England’s youngest lawyer, balancing global achievements with humble roots

Nadia (West Bengal): At just 21, when most youngsters are still discovering their path, Krishangi Meshram has already scripted history — becoming the youngest lawyer in England. Yet, behind her extraordinary achievement, her eyes still carry a youthful glow, and her smile reflects humility rooted in devotion.
Daughter of Nadia and hailing from Mayapur, Krishangi completed her law degree in just three years from the Open University, Milton Keynes, which admitted her into the course at the tender age of 15. Her journey recently caught the spotlight when her in-depth interview was published on August 1 in the Law Society Gazette — a feat many seasoned professionals only dream of.
Reflecting on her journey, Krishangi said, “The Open University allowed me to study law at the age of just 15. I am grateful. It has not only doubled my interest in the profession, but also doubled my interest in law.”
Since 2022, she has been working with an international law firm, gaining global exposure, including a stint in Singapore. She has also enriched her academic profile by participating in Harvard Online’s Global Program. Beyond law, Krishangi is deeply passionate about fintech, blockchain, and artificial intelligence, fields she believes will shape the future of legal practice.
However, despite her young age and global achievements, her goal remains simple and grounded — to serve the common man. Aspiring to work with leading law firms in England and the UAE, Krishangi embodies a new generation of Indian pride on the global stage — determined, future-ready, and deeply committed to her profession.
