New Delhi: The Indian Army’s Sapta Shakti Command conducted a large-scale Integrated Fire Power Exercise, codenamed ‘Amogh Fury’, at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges (MFFR) in Rajasthan’s Thar Desert.

The high-intensity exercise showcased the Indian Army’s ability to integrate multiple firing platforms in coordinated combat manoeuvres, emphasising joint operational readiness across various arms and services.

“The aim of ‘Amogh Fury’ was testing our combat power, coordination, and operational readiness in real-time battle scenarios,” an official said.

The drill featured a wide range of platforms, including battle tanks, infantry combat vehicles, attack helicopters, long-range artillery, and drones. Modern technologies such as network-centric communication, real-time surveillance, and advanced command and control systems were also employed to enhance the realism of the exercise.

“The integrated firing witnessed participation of multiple platforms, including battle tanks, Infantry combat vehicles, attack helicopters, long-range vectors of artillery, and drones,” the official added.

The exercise emphasised the use of contemporary technologies, seamless communication, and a shared common operating picture to improve coordination among all stakeholders. These capabilities were tested and refined to prepare for emerging threats on the modern battlefield.

Officials said ‘Amogh Fury’ underlines the Indian Army’s focus on jointmanship, operational readiness, and technological integration in multi-domain warfare scenarios.

The exercise follows Operation Sindoor, during which Pakistan attempted to damage defence infrastructure and target civilian areas along the borders of Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Punjab using artillery and drones. All threats were successfully intercepted and neutralised by Indian security forces.
