The Indian government on Saturday confirmed that a Pakistani airbase was hit in a coordinated military action, releasing footage of the strike.

Taking to X, the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG PI) stated the action was in response to Pakistan's attempted drone strikes on the nights of May 8 and 9 in several cities across Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab. Sharing the video, the Army stated: "As a response to Pakistan's misadventures of attempted drone strikes on the night of 08 and 09 May 2025 in multiple cities of Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, the Indian Army conducted a coordinated fire assault on terrorist launchpads, pulverizing & razing them to cinders."

According to the Army, the terrorist launchpads near the Line of Control had been used in the past to plan and carry out attacks on Indian civilians and security forces. The Army added that the strike dealt a “significant blow” to terrorist infrastructure.
