New Delhi: India has strongly condemned the recent Pakistani airstrikes on Afghanistan, terming it an "unequivocal" act of aggression and criticizing Islamabad's recurring tendency to shift blame onto its neighbors for internal failures.
The airstrikes, carried out by Pakistan, reportedly targeted certain areas in Afghanistan, citing the presence of terrorist hideouts. However, the attacks resulted in the tragic loss of civilian lives, including women and children.
"We have noted the media reports on airstrikes on Afghan civilians, including women and children, in which several precious lives have been lost. We unequivocally condemn any attack on innocent civilians," said Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs.
Jaiswal further criticized Pakistan's actions, stating, "It is an old practice of Pakistan to blame its neighbors for its own internal failures. We have also noted the response of an Afghan spokesperson in this regard."
