Hyderabad: A four-year-old boy, Narender, the son of a watchman, lost his life after getting trapped in a lift gate at Muktaba Apartments in Hyderabad on Thursday.

According to the Asif Nagar police, the incident occurred around 10 pm when Narender was playing near the elevator. While inside the lift gate, someone unknowingly pressed the lift button, causing the elevator to ascend with the child stuck in the gate. 

The boy suffered severe injuries in the accident and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead. 

The police have registered a case and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident.
