Haryana: Rahul Gandhi, leading the charge for the Congress Party in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, delivered a powerful critique of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In a post on X, he accused the BJP of ruining the state's prosperity over the past decade and laid out a vision for rebuilding Haryana's future under Congress rule.
In his post, Gandhi claimed that under BJP's governance, Haryana has seen its wealth, dreams, and opportunities slip away.
"The BJP has taken away the state's prosperity, dreams, and power," he said.
He further pointed out that government schemes like Agniveer have shattered the hopes of young patriots, while inflation and unemployment have hurt families across the state.
"Demonetisation, the Goods and Services Tax (GST), and failed policies have harmed small traders and robbed them of their earnings," he said.
He also accused the BJP of weakening Haryana’s farmers with "black laws" and favouring a few wealthy allies at the cost of the common citizen.
Rahul Gandhi painted a contrasting picture of a Congress-led Haryana, pledging to end the "decade of pain" and restore hope and dignity to its people. He presented a bold manifesto filled with reforms aimed at improving the lives of citizens.
Key promises include:
- 2 lakh permanent jobs
- Drug free Haryana
- Free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh
- Women Rs Rs 2,000/month
