Indian Army continues anti-terror operations in Dul and Kulgam

Jammu and Kashmir: Security forces clashed with terrorists in Kishtwar’s Dul area on Sunday morning, the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps confirmed.
In a statement posted on X, the White Knight Corps said, “Indian Army troops while carrying out an intelligence based operation have established contact with terrorists in general area of Dul in Kishtwar in early hours of 10 Aug 2025. Gunfire exchanged. Operation under progress.”
The encounter is ongoing as troops continue their efforts in the area.
Tribute paid to soldiers killed in Kulgam operation
The latest encounter follows the deaths of two soldiers in South Kashmir. Lance Naik Pritpal Singh and Sepoy Harminder Singh lost their lives during an operation in Kulgam district.
The Army’s Chinar Corps honoured their sacrifice, stating, “Chinar Corps honours the supreme sacrifice of the Bravehearts, L/Nk Pritpal Singh and Sep Harminder Singh, in line of duty for the Nation. Their courage and dedication will forever inspire us. Indian Army expresses deepest condolences and stand in solidarity with the bereaved families. Operation continues.”
The anti-terror operation in Kulgam’s Akhal area, which began on August 1, entered its 10th day on Sunday. The gunfight has been ongoing for several days, involving multiple security forces including the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, and the Special Operations Group (SOG). So far, one terrorist has been neutralised.
Earlier, Chinar Corps posted, “OP AKHAL, Kulgam. Intermittent and intense firefight continued through the night. Alert troops responded with calibrated fire and tightened the noose while maintaining contact.”
Poonch operation results
Separately, White Knight Corps troops neutralised two terror operatives attempting to infiltrate across the Line of Control in the Poonch sector on July 30.
