A man in Jalaun allegedly threw his two young daughters into the Yamuna River before jumping in himself after a domestic dispute

Jalaun: A 28-year-old man allegedly threw his two young daughters into the Yamuna River from the Juhi bridge in Rampura on Monday morning before jumping in himself, police have said.
The man, identified as Rajjan Nishad from Madhepura village, was reportedly an alcoholic and is believed to have acted in a fit of rage following a domestic dispute, according to Madhavgarh Circle Officer Ambuj Singh.
His eldest daughter, six-year-old Sunina, who was present at the scene but not harmed, raised an alarm. Local residents, alerted by her cries, immediately informed the police.
Divers have been deployed to trace Rajjan and his daughters -- Ala (4) and Chhoti (2) -- though strong river currents are hampering the ongoing search efforts, officials added.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
