South Western Railway has notified the permanent augmentation of Train No. 12028/12027 KSR Bengaluru – Dr. MGR Chennai Central – KSR Bengaluru Shatabdi Express.

An additional AC Chair Car coach will be attached from KSR Bengaluru with effect from July 27 (Sunday), and from Dr. MGR Chennai Central with effect from July 27 (Sunday), 2025.

Following this augmentation, the new coach composition will be:

  • 2 AC Executive Chair Coaches
  • 14 AC Chair Cars
  • 1 Second Class Coach (Divyangjan Friendly)
  • 1 Luggage cum Brake Van

Duronto Express to get three more Sleeper Class coaches from August

Northern Railway has also announced the permanent augmentation of Train No. 12284/12283 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Jn – Hazrat Nizamuddin Duronto Express.

The train will be equipped with three additional Sleeper Class coaches starting from Hazrat Nizamuddin with effect from August 2 (Saturday), 2025, and from Ernakulam Junction with effect from August 5 (Tuesday), 2025.

After the upgrade, the coach composition will be revised as:

  • 1 AC First Class Coach
  • 2 AC Two Tier Coaches
  • 10 AC Three Tier Coaches
  • 6 Sleeper Class Coaches
  • 1 Pantry Car
  • 1 Second Class Coach (Divyangjan Friendly)
  • 1 Luggage cum Brake Van
