The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday conducted searches against the Vedanta Group as part of an investigation under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), officials said.

According to officials, the searches are linked to a probe into alleged FEMA violations. The operation was underway at the time of reporting, and further details are yet to be disclosed.

The agency has not revealed the exact nature of the alleged violations or the locations being covered in the searches.
