Mumbai: Satish Salian, father of the late Disha Salian, has renewed his call for justice, urging authorities to conduct narco tests on all accused individuals, including Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, actors Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea.
Speaking to ANI on Thursday, Satish Salian also requested police protection for himself and his legal counsel, emphasizing his commitment to seeing the case through.
"I demanded justice for my daughter and sought protection, even for my counsel. I am ready for a narco test, but the same should be conducted on Aaditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea. All accused should undergo testing," he stated.
Expressing frustration over the lack of progress, Salian criticized the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government for failing to take action during its tenure. "They were in power for 2.5 years, and even after an SIT was formed, nothing was done. I had no choice but to take legal steps. We will definitely get justice," he added.
Reiterating his faith in the judiciary, Salian vowed not to stop until justice was served. "My daughter’s work was left incomplete. I must ensure it reaches its conclusion by ensuring punishment for the accused. No one has attempted to pressure me," he affirmed.
Earlier, Satish Salian approached the Bombay High Court seeking a probe into his daughter's death and requesting the registration of an FIR against Thackeray, among others.
In response to allegations, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief and father of Aditya Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray, denied any connection between his family and the Disha Salian case, emphasising that if evidence exists, it should be presented in court.
Disha was found dead on June 8, 2020, days before actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his flat in suburban Bandra, Mumbai.
