Mumbai: Expressing renewed faith in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Satish Salian, father of the late Disha Salian, stated on Tuesday that he will only find true peace "when the accused are hanged."

His comments follow the CBI's registration of a First Information Report (FIR) into the death of the former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, acting on directions from the Bombay High Court.

Speaking to IANS, Satish Salian voiced complete confidence in the federal agency's investigation while calling for strict punishment for those involved. "I am at peace that the case has been registered, though I will be happy only when the accused are punished. Aaditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, Dino Morea, their bodyguards and others accused should be hanged," he said. He confirmed that actress Rhea Chakraborty has also been named in the FIR.

Salian reiterated his allegations of a high-level cover-up, pointing directly at former police officials. He stated that Param Bir Singh and Sachin Waze were named because they "shielded the other accused," adding that those responsible would already be in jail had they not received protection.

Maintaining that his daughter's death was a calculated murder rather than an accident, Salian questioned the initial findings regarding the fall. "They say that Disha fell from the 14th floor, but looking at Disha's body, does it seem like that? There were no visible injuries on her body. No one looking at her could say that she had fallen from the 14th floor... evidence regarding this has been submitted," he said.

Addressing recent social media claims by actor Sooraj Pancholi denying any acquaintance with Disha, Salian responded directly: "We will prove whether he knew her or not."

Salian also detailed the sequence of events on the night of the incident, recalling that local authorities initially summoned the family regarding an issue at a party. "After Disha's death, the police called us and told us that something had happened at Disha's party, due to which they had taken her to the Malvani Police Station. Only after reaching there we came to know that Disha had died," he explained.

Dismissing the earlier efforts of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) previously tasked with the inquiry, Salian claimed they "didn't conduct any probe and were rather busy in protecting the accused." (IANS)
