New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Wednesday issued a citywide alert for a red Ford EcoSport connected to suspects allegedly involved in the Red Fort blast. 

A Hyundai i20 owned by the accused was involved in the blast at the Red Fort metro station on Monday. 

According to IANS, quoting Delhi Police, five police teams have been deployed to track the vehicle, and all Delhi police stations, posts, and border checkpoints have been placed on high alert. The alerts have also been shared with Uttar Pradesh and Haryana police to prevent the suspects from fleeing the region. 

The blast happened Monday evening, when a slow-moving car exploded, killing 12 people and injuring several others.

Earlier, police had busted a terror module with links to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, arresting three doctors and five others. Authorities seized approximately 2,900 kilograms of explosive and flammable materials. The module was reportedly active across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
