New Delhi: A tragic fire at a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) staff quarter in the Adarsh Nagar area of the capital claimed the lives of three members of the same family in the early hours of Tuesday, officials said.
According to the Delhi Fire Service, an emergency call reporting the blaze was received at 2:39 am. Six fire tenders were rushed to the spot and firefighters managed to bring the fire under control after sustained efforts.
The victims were identified as Ajay (42), his wife Neelam (38), and their 10-year-old daughter Janhvi. All three were found dead inside the residential unit.
Officials said the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
