Indian Railways has cancelled 45 trains scheduled to arrive at New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Tilak Bridge stations around the time of the CJP protest on October 10. The cancellations are intended to minimise passenger inconvenience amid expected traffic congestion in central Delhi.

Indian Railways has cancelled 45 trains scheduled to arrive at key Delhi railway stations on October 10, 2026, ahead of the planned Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest in the national capital.
The affected services include several premium trains, such as the Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express. The cancellations cover services arriving at New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Tilak Bridge railway stations.
According to Northern Railway, the decision follows a traffic advisory warning of potential congestion around the stations during the protest.
Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, said trains arriving in the Delhi area would remain cancelled between 4 am and 2 pm on October 10 due to the planned demonstration and traffic restrictions in central Delhi.
The Ministry of Railways said trains departing from their originating stations after 2 pm on October 9 and scheduled to arrive at New Delhi or Hazrat Nizamuddin between 4 am and 2 pm on October 10 had been cancelled at source.
The affected services include the 12301 Howrah–New Delhi Rajdhani Express and the 12313 Sealdah–New Delhi Rajdhani Express, both scheduled to depart on October 9.
Passengers travelling to or from Delhi have been advised to check their train status and cancellation updates before leaving for the station.

Note: Train number 12426 appears twice in the supplied list. The source details should be checked against the official railway cancellation notice.
Why have the trains been cancelled?
The cancellations are a precautionary measure linked to anticipated traffic congestion around major railway stations in central Delhi during the CJP protest. Road blockages and restrictions can make it difficult for passengers to reach stations on time, potentially causing missed connections and crowding.
The decision to cancel some services at their originating stations is intended to prevent trains from arriving during the affected period. However, passengers should confirm the status of their specific services through official railway channels, as cancellation information and operating arrangements may change.
