The attackers' motorcycle was recovered from a drain, and CCTV footage aided in their identification

New Delhi: A 30-year-old bike-taxi driver named Rajjab Khan was brutally stabbed multiple times and killed in Delhi's Rohini after three teenagers, including a juvenile, allegedly robbed him of Rs 570 and his mobile phone. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, and while three of the accused have been apprehended, a fourth accomplice remains at large.
According to police reports, the four had planned the robbery to make quick money. One of them booked a bike-taxi through a ride-hailing app and then attacked the driver. When Khan resisted and chased the group, three of the accused stabbed him with a knife, resulting in his death.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rajeev Ranjan said that Khan’s motorcycle was found parked near the body, while the attackers’ motorcycle was recovered from a roadside drain.
The police investigation began after receiving information about an accident near Shamshan Ghat Road in Sector 26, Rohini. Khan’s body displayed multiple stab wounds on his lower back, chest, and shoulder.
CCTV footage and informers led police to trace a red motorcycle to Kamlesh, whose 19-year-old son, Krissh, was later arrested. Interrogation revealed that Krissh, Ankit (18), and a 17-year-old boy committed the crime, while a fourth accomplice booked the ride and fled after the robbery.
On the night of the crime, the group assembled in a park in Rohini to coordinate. After robbing Khan near the park, he pursued the trio, intercepted them near a school, where Ankit stabbed him repeatedly. The attackers then fled, leaving behind Krissh’s motorcycle stuck in a drain.
Krissh, Ankit, the juvenile, and the remaining fugitive all reside in the Shahbad area. Police continue efforts to apprehend the fourth accused.
