Kannada actor Darshan and former MP Prajwal Revanna skipped Independence Day celebrations in Bengaluru Central Prison, reportedly due to depression

Bengaluru: Kannada actor Darshan, arrested in the sensational fan murder case, and Prajwal Revanna, former JD(S) MP convicted in the obscene video and rape case, did not take part in the 79th Independence Day celebrations at the Bengaluru Central Prison, sources confirmed on Friday.
Darshan was taken into custody on Thursday after the Supreme Court cancelled his bail. Prajwal Revanna, grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, has been in prison for over a year. On 1 August, the Special Court sentenced him to life imprisonment until his death.
Sources said both men were in a state of depression following these developments and chose to stay in their barracks. It was also reported that Darshan did not sleep through the night while in prison.
What are their prison details?
According to sources, all accused, including Darshan, have been assigned remand prisoner numbers. Darshan’s prisoner number is 7314, while his partner Pavithra Gowda, the first accused in the fan murder case has been given prisoner number 7313.
The last time Darshan was arrested, many fans tattooed his prisoner number, sparking controversy and leading to police cases. At present, Darshan and the other three accused are housed in the same barrack.
