Bengaluru: Renukaswamy, who was allegedly murdered by Kannada film actor Darshan and his accomplices, is reported to have faced brutal torture, as indicated by the postmortem report.
The report of the victim has shed more light on the heinous nature of the crime. So far, 17 people, including Darshan and actress Pavitra Gowda, have been arrested in connection with the case.
Renukaswamy was kidnapped from Chitradurga and taken to Bengaluru, where he died. The victim was repeatedly beaten with sticks and other objects. Despite being tied up, the torture continued. The report also says that he was kicked, which caused a ruptured testicle. Various media outlets have reported, quoting police sources, that Renukaswamy was also electrocuted.
The body of Renukaswamy was discovered in a sewer in Bangalore on June 9. It was reported that parts of his face had been eaten by dogs, and his ear was missing. There are also reports indicating that his genitals were mutilated.
Actor Darshan has reportedly told the police that he paid Rs 30 lakh to distance himself from the Renukaswamy murder case. Authorities have allegedly recovered this amount from Pradosh's residence.
