Cyber Cell Assistant Sub-Inspector Sandeep Lathar found dead in Rohtak under suspicious circumstances. Forensic investigation launched. Second Haryana cop death in a week.

Rohtak: The body of a Cyber Cell Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), Sandeep Lathar, was found under suspicious circumstances in a room near an agricultural field in Ladhot village, Rohtak district, on Tuesday. This marks the second death of a Haryana police officer in Haryana within a week.
Rohtak Superintendent of Police Surendra Singh Bhoria confirmed the death, stating, “This was a hardworking ASI of our Police Department, Sandeep. He was very honest and hardworking. His body has been found. A Forensic team has been called here and an investigation is being carried out...He was posted in Cyber Cell”
The circumstances surrounding ASI Lathar’s death remain unclear. Police say the body was found in a small room constructed near farmlands, and no conclusions have been drawn yet. A forensic investigation is underway, and post-mortem results are awaited to determine the cause of death.
Second police death
ASI Sandeep Lathar’s death comes just days after senior IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar, a 2001-batch officer serving as Inspector General (IG) of Police Training Centre (PTC), Sunaria, was found dead at his residence on October 7.
Kumar, 52, was known for raising issues related to officer rights and seniority. At the time of his death, his wife, a senior IAS officer in the Haryana government was in Japan as part of an official delegation led by the Chief Minister.
Further details are expected after forensic and post-mortem reports are received.
