Thiruvananthapuram: A chatbot on Telegram app has apparently leaked personal details of several thousands of Indians who were administered Covid-19 vaccine.

If our registered mobile number is entered, personal details including name, Aadhar number, and details of the vaccination center will be readily available. If an entire family had registered their vaccines using a single mobile number, then all their details will surface online. 

The chatbot claims that it has several other personal details of citizens as well. The ‘search’ can be done only via Telegram. 

However, the group has clarified that the attempt is just to raise awareness on the importance of cybersecurity and reasserted that they do not intend to cause any harm. The group also stated that they are using personal servers and websites for the purpose.
