A case has been registered against actor Vijay and 10 bouncers after a youth alleges he was pushed off the ramp at a TVK meeting in Madurai.

Madurai: A case has been registered against actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay following allegations that his bouncers pushed a youth off a ramp during a party meeting.
The incident reportedly occurred at a TVK event in Madurai on August 21. The complainant, identified as Sarathkumar, claimed he was attempting to climb the ramp when the bouncers intervened and allegedly pushed him down.
The footage of the incident has circulated widely on social media, with the DMK’s cyber wing sharing the video and attracting significant criticism.
On August 26, Sarathkumar, accompanied by his mother, filed a formal complaint with the Perambalur Superintendent of Police, stating that he sustained injuries, suffered physical pain, and experienced mental distress due to the incident. The complaint also requested action against the bouncers.
Following the complaint, police registered a case against Vijay and 10 bouncers under three sections of the Indian Penal Code. The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has not issued any response regarding the matter so far.
