There are various chicken dishes from different parts of the world, and chicken is a favorite among most non-vegetarians. Many regions are known for their unique styles of fried chicken.
Now, India's beloved Chicken 65 has been ranked as the third-best fried chicken dish in the world by Taste Atlas. This fiery and flavorful delicacy, known for its tangy marination of ginger, lemon, red chili and a medley of spices, is the only Indian dish to make it to the prestigious list. Originating in Tamil Nadu in the 1960s, it remains a favorite in South India and beyond.
The top spots in the rankings are dominated by Asian cuisines, with South Korea's fried chicken and Japan's Karaage taking first and second places, respectively. Taste Atlas highlighted Chicken 65's distinctive zest and robust flavors, which have earned it global acclaim for another year.
Interestingly, India’s culinary excellence has also been recognized in other categories, with dishes like Rajma making it to the list of the 50 best bean dishes globally. Taste Atlas first began publishing these rankings in November 2014.
