Jammu and Kashmir: At least two Pakistani drones were detected along the Line of Control in Rajouri district, Jammu & Kashmir, on Tuesday, according to sources.

The sighting came just hours after Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi issued a warning to Pakistan against ceasefire violations and provocative actions along the border.

Indian Army personnel responded promptly, opening fire on the drones, which were reportedly destroyed without causing damage. Security forces are monitoring the situation closely, especially in the Dungala Nabla area of the Rajouri sector, where the drones were observed.

Defense analysts noted the timing of the incident as significant, raising questions about whether it was routine surveillance or a deliberate provocation. Authorities continue to maintain heightened vigilance along the LoC.

Sources confirmed that multiple Pakistani drones were detected during routine surveillance in the Rajouri sector. The Indian Army immediately engaged the drones, aiming to neutralise any threat. No damage or casualties were reported in the incident. The engagement highlights the Indian Army’s preparedness following the Army Chief’s warning to Pakistan, emphasizing zero tolerance for ceasefire violations. The incident has reinforced the need for continuous monitoring of border activities in sensitive sectors along the LoC.
