The move comes after Mandaviya held discussions with officials of Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy and Zomato

New Delhi: Blinkit will remove its ‘10-minute delivery’ claim from all brand platforms following the intervention of Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya over concerns about delivery partner safety.
The decision comes in the wake of protests by delivery workers across multiple platforms in late December, during which workers raised issues related to intense delivery pressure, working conditions and lack of social security.
The move followed meetings between Mandaviya and officials of Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy and Zomato, where the minister advised the companies to abandon strict delivery-time guarantees in the interest of worker safety.
All four companies have assured the government that delivery-time commitments will be removed from brand advertisements and social media platforms.
