Former Deputy Prime Minister and BJP veteran L K Advani has been discharged from Delhi's Apollo Hospital following treatment for a chest infection.

New Delhi: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani has been discharged from the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi following an improvement in his health condition.
The 98-year-old leader had been admitted to the hospital's pulmonary department at around 7.30 pm on Friday after suffering from a chest infection. He was kept under close observation by a specialised team of doctors while necessary medical tests and treatment were conducted. Hospital officials had earlier confirmed that his condition remained stable during his stay.
This latest hospitalisation follows previous admissions for age-related health issues over recent months. Advani was previously admitted to Apollo Hospital in May for age-related health complications, where he received medical care for several days before being discharged.
Earlier, in December 2024, the veteran leader was treated under the supervision of a neurologist in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital for medical management and investigations.
